The Newburyport App complements the Best of NewburyportSM VIP Program, offering VIP Card holders the ability to access local restaurant and shopping discounts by digitally presenting a valid VIP Card. Through the app, card holders have access to an up-to-date discounts directory listing the 180 participating businesses and associated discounts. Users can opt to receive reminder alerts when visiting establishments that accept the VIP Card nearby.
Aside from the VIP Card functionalities, The Newburyport App grants direct entry to various popular features including The Newburyport Events Calendar, Things to Do, Live Webcams, Local Videos, Real Estate Search, Business Directory, and Newburyport VIP on Facebook and Instagram.
Downloading and utilizing the majority of the features of the Newburyport App incur no costs. However, to gain access to digital VIP Card display and benefits, users must purchase a card. One card is available for $25 or two for $40, with $10 of the purchase amount or renewal fee being donated to a chosen local nonprofit partner. Following purchase, users receive an email with login credentials and program details. Upon logging in, users can view their expiration date and a green checkmark symbol confirming their valid VIP Card status. The program does not require physical swiping or scanning; displaying the digital card suffices when engaging with participating businesses in Greater Newburyport.
The Newburyport VIP Card encourages involvement in a “shop local” initiative aimed at fostering customer loyalty and driving recurring business to restaurants and shops in Greater Newburyport by rewarding cardholders with discounts each time they use their VIP Card. Business Owners define their offered discounts to ensure that the VIP Program boosts revenue for local small businesses. Facilitated by Newburyport.com, this community-oriented program extends complimentary advertising for participating VIP Businesses and local Nonprofit Partners. As a local small business itself, Newburyport.com is committed to promoting fellow local enterprises and raising funds for community causes.
